Breaking- Weberman Confronted At Courthouse By Alleged Victim (9:47am)
This morning, outside the courtroom whose doors were not yet open, Joseph Diangello (who grew up in Williamsburg as Yoeli Deitch), took a good luck at Nechemya Weberman and told others with him that Weberman molested him when he was eleven to twelve years old. Last night, Diangello told me that he was molested by a man named Nechemya Weberman who worked at that time for his father. He wasn’t sure if the man who was now on trial was the same Weberman. At the time, there were no pictures of Weberman available. Diangelo was determined to find out. According to Diangello and others who observed the scene, Diangello walked up to Weberman, took his picture on a cell phone and stared hard at him. Another observer said Weberman looked very shocked.
Diangello then went back to the group that was there to support the alleged victim and told them that Weberman was indeed the man who molested him. Diangello also sent me the picture he took by phone. I have confirmed that it is indeed Nechemya Weberman, the defendent in court today.
When the court room doors opened at around 9:40 there were about 15 people there in support of the alleged victim of Weberman including Rabbi Nuchem Rosenberg, Mark Appel, and a contingent of Yeshiva University students. The four people with Weberman were his wife, mother, sister and brother, according to Rabbi Nuchem Rosenberg who was also in the corridor before the courtroom doors were opened.

Yoily Deitch/Joseph Diangello said something else, too. One of the ladies accompanying Weberman took out a phone and took a picture of Yoily after he took a picture of them. Yoily said, “Go ahead and take a picture. My picture will be on the blogs, not yours.” He also said something about the Va’ad Hatznius.
In the above photo, you can actually see the lady pointing her phone at the cameraman(Yoily).
Interesting point I’ve noticed on your reports in the Weberman case, you’ll always find some side issue to report about instate of just simply reporting the court hiring details. last time was it the illegal parking issue and now is it the Confrontation. makes me thing that the case its self is not so strong.
Joe, You are fishing too hard for chesronos. The possibility that he molested someone else is not a side issue to his being in court because he is charged with molesting. Can you see the connection? If not, I will concede that my facts are no match for your unwillingness to face the facts.

Aren’t camera phones forbidden in that community? Or is there special permission in order to harass people who come to court on behalf of victims?
Just FYI, pictures on both sides were taken in the corridor outside the courtroom. The court rules about cell phones and cameras only apply inside the courtroom. However, using those pictures for harassment is a separate question.
confronting the man who abused him must have taken much courage. I salute Diangello for doing just that. I hope he feeling okay after facing his tormentor.

To me it looks like that this looser Yoely Deutch/Joseph Diangello is looking again for an attention! He failed with his 1st case he tried to blame the community and a teacher why he looks the way he is now, he’s trying now again. Why didn’t he come out until now against Reb Nachamya? He’s just a big time dropped out fool who’s trying to cover him self why he’s so down the drain and going on this boring non-sense path. In addition, He’s just Nuchem Rosenberg’s puppy! Whatever Nuchem tells him he does. Watta stupid looser!

If what you say is true, then explain to us morons, the fact that Weberman worked for Diangello’s father, is that just a coincident. They fact is if someone who had a connection with a kid and as a grownup he accuses the person, that should give you, at least a double take. Nevertheless, you are going straight for the throat. To add insult to injury, somehow, you are incorporating Nuchem Rosenberg into this rape allegation. Remember I believe what Diangello’s is saying, for me going OTD is only an advantage, he feels free to talk to the truth. The last thing he cares is what you think of him; therefore, Diangello has the freedom and ability to talk truth to powers, consequently he is more believable than most Chasidim. Accordingly, why don’t you reflect on your action, and ask yourself, as a human (not Chasid) what am I doing, should I really take the side of an alleged rapist, or just keep mum until after the case was adjudicate, and I won’t look like a fool when he is convicted. After reflection, I concluded, that people with your view of the world, will never ever acknowledge any shortcoming in your community. Therefore, am I wasting my time? You know, NOT, I am writing because I want readers to understand the two contrasting sides, and what is really at stake. In my view, the survival of orthodoxy as a contributing member of society is at stake. I want them to understand that they are on the slippery slope.

I just wanted to thank everyone for coming together in support of the victims today. It was amazing to see.
And as most rational humans can tell by the comments from tweedle dumb, and tweedle dumber above, they obviously were impressed (ie totally scared ) by the turnout.
Weberman (and his attorney) certainly seemed….well….completely unprepared for the encounter. Get used to it – we aren’t going anywhere.

I would also note that Weberman was not supposed to be anywhere near the top of the calender at that session. However, it is standard court procedure to try and get cases with big crowds out of the way ASAP. It makes sense in terms of alleviating crowding and avoiding volatile situations. Everyone there was well behaved, but still, court personnel never know for sure which situation can go wild. But they do know, the odds of problems rise when crowds are larger.
All this means that if we can consistently turn out large support groups we all can get home sooner. Just make sure to be early. Half of the supporters were stuck out in the hallway because they came after the session started.
What kind of woman makes sure she takes her camera to court, to take photos of people molested by her husband?

I do not profess to know Mr. Diangello’s story, but what I will say is that it is quite common for victims of abuse to have multiple abusers. It is entirely possible, if not probable, that Mr. Diangello’s abuse occurred via multiple molesters.
Perhaps some rachmanus, and perhaps apology, is in order, Big Boy.

@ big boy- I don’t recall Mr. DIANGELLO saying that the mikvah incident was the only occurance of abuse. Please refer to my above comment. It is common for those that are abused to be abused several times by several different abusers. What part of that don’t u understand?
some boys have an “abuse me” sign on them. my son is one of those boys. he is a very good student, naturally thin and quiet. his father is disabled and unable to walk to shul with him or do a lot of the things that other fathers are able to do.
because my son constantly fears that his father will c”v fall etc. he wears a permanent look of caring and concern on his face. unfortunately my son has twice experienced the anguish of being a young children outside walking with his father and having his father collapse in the street while my son stood there screaming helplessly.
abusers see an opportunity in the son of a disabled man or in a widowed or divorced home. one of my friend’s husband has a congenital heart condition. unfortunately her sons have been molested by rabbis who offered to “help” during her husband’s lengthy hospital stays.
so my son is an abuse magnet. one rebbe touched him while he was davening. then the rebbe sent one of the teenagers who he was already molesting into the bathroom to beat him and forcibly fondle him. my son has a mother and older sisters but davening and the bathroom are two places where we cannot go.
another rebbe bought my son expensive gifts, singled him out in class for praise and then told him to come to his car for even more special toys and gifts. at the car the rebbe gave my son toys for his younger brother, expensive books and toys. he also showed my son his dirty underwear which he had in a bag on the front seat. my son said that he opened the bag, pulled out the underwear, showed it to my son and told him that it was dirty. yuck.
my son is out of school now, being taught by an older man in our house where he is never alone.
