  1. There’s so much in common with their predecessor, Reb Moshe Tzvi Wertheim of Savran with their zeal against (Reb Noson of) Breslov. It sounds like the same thuggery. Certainly, this Skverer Rebbe’s Wikipedia page is not a flattering biography by any stretch of the imagination.

  2. The abutters should push back as hard as they can and appeal and appeal until they get the case before a judicial body not beholden to Hasidim for their bloc voting. These people need to be contained and controlled and brought to heel. This Rebbe is just another Jew as far as God is concerned – he (and his followers) think otherwise but they’re wrong. Best thing would be for that house to burn down, though I supposed some donor would pay to rebuild it even more grandly.

  3. Priceless. Whoever said don’t confuse the truth with the facts never examined life in New Square.

One other statistic is needed: what percentage of the poverty stricken residents of New Square receive public assistance for housing, food stamps, disability, etc?

And, maybe one more: what percentage of the kids are classified as learning disabled or special needs cases? I’ve read that it’s a common ploy to obtain that diagnosis, since it paves the way for special educational privaleges.
